As we approach mid-summer you must've noticed:
Grass just keeps growing. On every tree every bud is bursting, every leaf unfurling. In every crack in every pavement weeds rampant. Everywhere.
So how's it going? It's gob-smacking, jaw-dropping. Don't you agree?

Amazed at how quickly our wild flower meadow sprouted. Hopefully todays rain will not undo the work of the sun over the last few days! On a forum someone asked you to sum up why Brittany is great. To me it is the trees! Never seen so many in years and the initial colours before pollution takes effect are astounding. Frequent trips to Chateau du Trevarez and Huelgoat and walking through mother natures bounty has to be good for the soul.

Love wandering around the garden to see the progress of everything. Stroll best taken with a glass of sparkly vino IMHO - very relaxing It's been very foggy on the way to work for the past few days, this morning was clear and it is noticeably lighter towards 6am Haven't seen much sun yet tho !

After all the rain from earlier in the week the last couple of days have been really nice.I forced myself to pick a load of strawberries, not wanting them to go to waste you understand,so tonight its strawberries and ice cream maybe on the balcony but football starts tonight so more likely on the settee.

It seems an odd reaction to me to be fed up with having to keep up with your plants' growth surge! What would you rather, that they shrunk? Or stood still??
I don't expect you to read this, following your recent pronouncement(s) so I'm posting as an open invitation for others to comment on their own successes and failures. The Gardening Board used to be an active place - darling sabjac was a frequent poster, as was I. Can't blame me. Why not get posting?

Well in a reverse situation to the usual my tomatoes in the polytunnel got blight and the outdoor ones are ok. The courgettes are coming thick and fast and lots of my lettuces bolted as soon as they could. Am enjoying charlotte spuds and my pointy cabbages haven't been too ravaged by slugs....
