This afty we're off up to a huge Carrefour but this year we're just not turned on by turkey......
Last year I made a multi-roast. Duck filled with stuffing in the centre, wrapped in flat chicken, wrapped in bacon, wrapped in flat pork rolled and tied - it was brill. Going to do the same this year.
Whats on your menu this year ??

Christmas Turkey It was Christmas Eve in at the meat counter and ali was anxiously picking over the last few remaining turkeys in the hope of finding a large one. In desperation she called over a shop assistant and said, 'Excuse me. Do these turkeys get any bigger?' 'No, madam, 'he replied, 'they're all dead.' oppsssssssss

Ali calls her mate inn tears. She sobs,
'Fli doesn't appreciate what I do for him.'
'Now, now,' her friend comforted, 'I am sure it was all just a misunderstanding.'
'No, you don't understand. I bought a frozen turkey roll and Fli yelled and screamed at me about the price.'
'Well, the nerve of that lousy cheapskate,' says her mate. 'Those turkey rolls are only a few euro's.'
'No, it wasn't the price of the turkey. It was the aeroplane ticket.'
"Aeroplane ticket..??.."" What did you need an airplane ticket for?"
'Well, when I went to fix it, I looked at the directions on the package and it said: "Prepare from a frozen state,"
"So I flew to Norway!!'

Turkey! It's the only time I eat it. I have had turkey every Xmas as long as I can remember (apart from occasional posh chook like Bresse one) and the only year we had beef I felt cheated as it was not like Xmas at all. We've never had dry turkey so don't understand why people complain about that? Or maybe it's cos in England they only sell stupidly huge ones whereas in France you can get nice 2.5kg ones and you'd be hard pushed to get one over 3kg.

Not Christmas without Turkey. I enjoy eating turkey at other times but at Christmas with several sorts of stuffing it is wonderful.
