I've a two burner gas hob, the reasoning being that if we had a power cut I could still use it to cook on....as to either ceramic or induction, I've no experience with either sadly.

We had a big kitchen in our last house and opted for a ceramic (or was it induction) hob, and a gas hob. The reason I'm not sure if the electric one was induction or ceramic is because we almost never used it - the gas was just so much better.

Defintely gas.Would have had to buy all new pans for induction.Very pleased with new gas one -so quick to bring things to boil.

See what you started BC. WE DO NOT WANT GAS, HAVE YOU GOT THAT FACT, GAS IS A NO NO, GAS IS NOT OUR CHOICE, NO GAS HOB CONSIDERED, GAS IS COMPLETELY RULED OUT, CAN YOU PEOPLE NOT READ THE PRIGINAL QUESTION
