Hello All New to this forum, been through the rites of passage elsewhere and still recovering from the experience......... Not normally anxious to part with a sizeable chunk of the well earned pension but wondering why the demand is late this year. Has everybody else in and around (Brittany - 56) had theirs?

Hi Southpork (love that name lol) - had ours (35) in Oct as normal. There is an agenda somewhere that implies which dept gets theirs when, I've just had a look around and can't find the link - doh me. But no doubt it will be arriving however late Huge welcome to the forum.

Hi Southpork and welcome to the forum. I had my Taxe Fonciere a while back (well long enough to get a reminder before paying it anyway). Taxe D'Habitation hasn't arrived this year as yet...

Southpork - our area (56) has had the Fonciere Tax - if you haven't yet pop into the office at 25 Rue de Jean Moulin - they're very helpful in there and the dark haired lady behind counter with glasses speaks a very little English - more than enough to help out :-)

Does everyone know thatyou can pay these bills in monthly instalments-doesn't make it cheaper but obviously not such a huge blow in October!!

Yep - again the local gourin office are extremely helpful and will provide you with the necessary forms for both fonciere and habitation taxes to be paid monthly - these must be completed and returned before January - these are then direct debit from Jan to Oct incl - giving you November and december payment free
