First question, how do we take monochrome pics with a digi camera? (sorry, I really am that clueless)

Bear with me folks I'm hoping to start up some sub sections for technical tips advice etc once I familiarise myself with how Good start Ali - we'll get you onto some macro photography next to see the real beauty of a single raindrop - Macro results are dead easy even with a standard lens and sometimes even easier for those with a compact digi camera what I may do is grab some you tube footage from time to time as a visual demonstration is often far easier than the written word

Macro photography = taking a photo very close up to the subject matter to see it in its full glory more explained when we get a tech tips section up and running so come on BC get your feet wet and grab some rain shots

Can I just add my two pennyworth.... if you want a B&W photo, change it to B&W via software on a PC. if you use the mono function on a camera you can only ever have a mono photo, no matter how good at editing you are. keep an original colour version on your PC and change a copy to Mono. but always work on a copy!

This is all getting far too technical for me-I like point and shoot in colour.
