Mr Jackie made the most delish spag carbonara last night which we had with salad.
Today I will be jointing a chicken & will be roasting the breasts wrapped in bacon with roasted root veggies (parsnips, butternut squash, red-onion, beetroot & tatties). Will make chicken in red-wine casserole with legs & wings tomorrow & cook up the carcass to make stock for casserole & dinner for doggies...
I am on a diet - honest!!!

Missed this yesterday-made fish pie.
Today it is curry made with diced turkey breast and Pataks paste-sorry all you purists who start from scratch. Will add peppers, spinach, onion, peas, sweetcorn and tomato paste and serve with Basmati Rice.

Having thought about the question have decided I should re-write it........ We have as many men as ladies here and men don't cook do they ! Oh dear, another urban legend... Look at all the world's top chefs. How many are women? Sorry, speak up a bit, how many?

Boring old lunch today... Just a roast (farm) chicken, roast potatoes, our own garden peas, etc It's the slug of armagnac in the sauce that'll help lift it from tres ordinaire... But when you've got quality product, work on the K.I.S.S. principle - Keep It Simple, Stupid!
