I think once again the games are being spoilt by poor refereeing. Not just the chap with the whistle but the whole of them. To see teams robbed by the selective eyesight of the officials is appalling. How do they get all this extra time to add on at the end? Not because England lost in extra time, to me they were lucky to get a draw! Hope things improve and games involving non latino sides such as Germany, Ireland and England are not refereed by namby pamby Italian etc officials who blow their whistle if an opponent so much as looks at the opposition!

I agree that the 3 minutes extra time came from nowhere, BE, but I don't agree that Ingerrland were lucky to salvage a draw!
As to the nationality of the referee let's not go there - before we know it we'll be hating black referees for being too thick and female referees for being emotionally unstable......

Didn't even bother to watch Germany vs Ukraine. Still don't know the score.
I've an abiding aversion to Germany. To do with The War. And envy for their footballing success. It's something I need to work on. My (illogical) aversion bugs me more than the Germans do......

What I am referring to are the different national traits. The latin countries, for me these are such as Italy, Spain and Portugal tend to be histrionic. Slightest touch and the player is down and rolling all over the place and screaming like a banshee. The referees are the same seeing the slightest touch as the next "Chainsaw Massacre". Consequently when they referee more teutonic / anglo matches they are whistle happy for everything which we feel is normal and spoil a good physical game.

Once again England's name is dragged through the dirt by a minority of mindless morons posing as football fans. France is still in emergency security alert, the police have enough to contend with trying to keep us safe without having to deal with these thugs who have overloaded their brain cell with alcohol. Arrest them, throw them on the next ferry home and stamp their passports and their foreheads IMBECILE.

Ali, I thought that the England team flew home, and didn't travel on a ferry? I've also reason to believe that they walked onto the plane, at a leisurely pace, and weren't thrown on it. And so they were able to hang on to their dignity....
Mindless scum football hooligans probably took the ferry. Having spent their money on alcohol it's probably all they could afford. It's a long way to go to witness such an England shambles first-hand. Drink is the cause and solution to every problem....

Sat in a bar at CduF and there were more English and Welsh than French watching the France-Iceland match. At the end the French had a quick round of applause and left!
