I am afraid I hate football with a vengeance and despair at the thought of 30 days of non-stop games with all the disruption of TV viewing that will cause. Then we can look forward to the olympics weeks more of disrupted TV to find out who has successfully managed to cheat the system with new performance enhancing substances. I think I shall be watching lots of dvd's in the coming weeks.

You're forgetting Wimbledon too..... I'm sure that will fit in somewhere. Probably between the end of the football and the start of the olympics so the BBC will be a write off for 3 months Maybe a good time to do some decorating then I can spend my evenings enjoying the much preferable pastime of watching paint dry.

Just dropped to €1.26.5 to the £..... Cheer us all up why don't you. My £1 won't even buy me a small beer at my local now I remember when I could buy a pint of beer and get change from 2/- (10p) Must be getting old!

It's not that long since it was nearly the same value as a £...gone are the days of 15 or so years ago when it was over €1.50...

I like watching football, follow Forest,I will be watching whichever match catches my eye really, for the group stages. My other armchair sport is motocycle racing whether, motogp, world superbikes or this weeks Isle of Man TT. Oh I so love the IOM. Manx Grand Prix, the Rally, 2 day trials, so many memories, have spent loadsa time there marshalling, observing, and competing. True wheel fans will know the difference between those 3 descriptive words Mak your wish over Fairy Bridge........ Windy Corner .... list is endless....
