Son and partner bought me a halogen oven-never seen one before.Whilst here they cooked pork joint, steaks.sausages etc in it.I think it is marvellous.Chicken in 30 mins,a lemon drizzle cake in 35 mins. Not used my other oven since and this one cleans itself too.

Have a friend with one - fan - tas - tic !! Is it a sort of 'glass' thing? A large 17 litre pyrex bowl with controls in lid.Made a walnut and coffee cake today.Lots of videos of people using them on youtube.Keeps all the flavour in and cooks in half time. Not used 'big oven' for 3 weeks now.

The booklet shows it with extra metal layer which you use for bigger joints/chickens.BE

Ok, have been tempted and Susie has bought one for us to use later this year. It arrived today.....switched it on for first time as per the booklet and it's clear we won't need lights or heating in the kitchen when in use....
