Ok, have been tempted and Susie has bought one for us to use later this year. It arrived today.....switched it on for first time as per the booklet and it's clear we won't need lights or heating in the kitchen when in use.... Definitely not!! I've not used my other oven since getting mine,SP.and am enjoying trying roasts, grilling, baking cakes etc.My son is sending me a halogen recipe book but if you halve cooking time and lower temperature it works fine.Plenty of help and ideas on youtube.Happy cooking.

Hi tinkerbell I haven't logged in here for a long time but I did see your post about halogen ovens and then spotted one for sale for £29 in The Range in Plymouth last week. I've just cooked roast chicken with potatoes and whole shallots and the chicken was so delicious and the roast potatoes and shallots were really lovely and crispy. Thanks for getting me started on this.

Tinks : I've found YouTube videos to be really helpful. The ones from this couple are clear and straightforward....
