After 2 days eventually the new replacment, exhaust is complete without leaks blowing from joints - it was the original exhaust that came off and remakes are "not exactly the same shape so a bit of wooden plank leverage and heat exchangers slackened off + the good old heavy mallet, a lot of swearing and shouting and its eventually on. New gear knob - new fuel sender (the fuel gauge now works ) - new alternator brushes (not the same as originals so a bit of improvisation required) The only slight annoying thing is the handbrake leaver in the engine bay rattles on the new exhaust pipe, but then again with it now sounding like a Singer sewing machine praps I can hear the rattles now. It almost goes as quick as a Singer sewing machine now

I dont like to be picky but is that not a Citroen Dyane van rather than a 2CV? Hi Barwood - Its actually an "Acadiane" van (Diane van) and as lib has told me off for calling it a 3cv its a 2cv (2 cylinder) the same as an AK400 van (2cv van) only the front body work is different. Bet you wished you never asked

So you have to open the bonnet to apply the handbrake We are talking "technology" her pandj I can grab the walking stick handle, press the big white button on top of it and hay presto the lever catapults down, spraining your wrist at the same time and your off at walf facter 2, all in the comfort of the black vinyl seats

Plus pandj, the handbrake has a childproof lock. This is helpful as it stops Ali driving off in it.
