Fli, you always have to slack of the heat exchangers to fit the y silencer. Some of the clamps are 'handed' on the shapes so wrong way can give blow on joints. The hooks on the exhaust that bolt onto the gear box housing can be shimmed with any old washers to push the exhaust away from the handbrake. "Too late" cried Fli.

I used to work for Citroen in Croydon many moons ago and we raced 2CV's,people used to turn up on the day unclip wings etc. and have a great time at very little expense

I used to work for Citroen in Croydon many moons ago and we raced 2CV's,people used to turn up on the day unclip wings etc. and have a great time at very little expense think lib worked for citroen or related to citroen - they are great fun and easyish to work on unlike any modern car. mines a hobby where i can tinker on cars - can't do that with modern cars like rovers with plastic bumpers

We have an old Astra we carry the dogs about in-open the bonnet and you can see and work on everything ont the other hand we've just bought a VW Passat and you open the bonnet and there may possibly be an engine in there but I cant see it its all covered in plastic

Barwood who are you? 2CV Cross We was the northern lot, but knew most of the london lot, lovekin, john and sons from brixton, etc. plus the continental guys especially Gerard Tilliette and Beatrice. Think the first one in UK was in a quarry somewhere in Lancashire, but memory failing now with age. Here's a picture of Pete Dalkin who owned Wingrove motor co in the north east rolling a 'new' build at the finals at Le Creuseot. Can't remember the year. Lost most of piccies, posters, and passes, in various house moves.
