The 105 has arrived Not much time to do anything with it today but have done a quick 'test' in the office. Camera wasn't set to auto as photo suggests, was set to 'P' on both photos - exactly same camera settings used for each lens tho. Lens 1 is the 18-55mm lens 2 is the 105mm (non-VR) Attachments:

Is all this talk between Wibble and Ali some tekky stuff or is there a hint of innuendo. Code between them that Fli won't crack.
Probaly better to keep this sort of talk of remote shutters and 3 legged equipment, cropping and manipulation, enticement to FB, and the cryptic 200 iso, to PMs and spare the more sensitive members .....

You're probably right LIB, it's scaring me too. But where else other than @ 'tekky quipment thread' ?

ISO - I thought ISO was according to your surroundings? Light etc, shutter speed? Whats ISO?

ISO harps back to film days and was a measurement as to the sensitivity of the film (based on silver content for the chemists) the higher the number ISO for film the more light sensitive it was and also more grainier (not as sharp) this has been carried over into digital photography and is one of the 3 main settings when looking to optimise your shot darker/low light or capturing high speed conditions require a higher ISO - generally for day to day conditions 200 or 400 should be o.k Ali meet you behind cycle sheds later

I remember always buying ISO 400 film when I was into rallying because the film gave me a better 'speed'.

That's the only way I remember it too - and getting 200 to go on holiday because it could cope with beach glare. Or was that 100. I can't remember! ;D
