"I am not particularly religious these days but I am a Christian", is it possible to be a Christian without being religious, what is "not particularly religious"? is that where you can cherry pick the bible to follow what suits you? I fail to understand where a persons invisible friend has anything to do with this issue. I haven't had homosexuality shoved on my face , but then without an agenda I'm not looking for it. I think divorce is more likely to "Desecrate the sanctity of marriage" than homosexuality, though by using that as an argument it allows religious bigots an opinion "compulsory to be gay", as, when I last checked, homosexuality isn't catching I think it would be a difficult law to enforce. "open gay behavior" what is it you are saying? What have you been watching? (You are)"happy to respect everyone's right to behave as they choose within the law", so if its law for same sex partners to get married you will respect that? So your argument is lost, out comes the God card. And finally, "I defend my right to have an opinion." maybe, but you don't have a right to express it. Goodness, Starbrite, you are digging some of these interesting discussions up for us to mull over again. To whom are you expressing your opinions? The original poster, or to some of those who have replied? Mainly to the OP, but to anyone really,

Well clearly aimed at me but I won't reply because I don't have a right to express an opinion.
Makes the art of discussion rather difficult methinks

Biggles is GAY. Alright... I've said it 'He is Gay'. Biggles and Butch will be sharing their vows in the local church on Sunday. The Vicar (a horse) will be overseeing the ceremony and Ma Bogert from the nearby farm will be providing the milk (she is a cow). I expect presents from everyone. Bones should be wrapped in cling film as they smell a bit if you send them in the post.

No, John, you most certainly may NOT laugh. While it could be construed as expressing an opinion, the worst thing of all would be that your laughing would hurt both Biggles' and Butch's feelings. To say nothing of the horsey vicar and the cow providing the milk.....................
