I have absolutely no problem with gay civil partnerships or marriages, whatever they are called. Isn't half of it about having equal rights, same as married couples, relating to wills and pensions and financial stuff? I don't see what religion has to do with any of it.

I don´t think religion should come into it ,unless the gay couple wish to marry in church,in which case that would presumably mean they have beliefs?? ( although the majority of heterosexuals marrying in church probably don´t) I´m pretty sure that somewhere in the Bible ,it condemns homosexuality, makes a joke out of gay priests in my opinion! If you are a Christian, then your religion is supposedly based on the Bible,so...........,!! I still feel that a gay marriage is an odd one, for me, tying up your future together legally , to cover who inherits etc, seems fine , but marriage, still don´t like it.

Mind you BritChick, if we take the Bible word for word we would have all been stoned to death by now.

Scary stuff lol--- They may be able to give the child a serious good home life--- but can they ensure the child is safe from the outside worlds abuse?? I think not!!

Children can be cruel. They can be cruel that a child's parents have divorced. They can be cruel that the child is black, gay, tall, short etc etc. Cruelty exists and the story is always the same. The only thing that changes is the detail. I have had experience of children parented in Gay relationships. A nicer and more functional group of kids I have yet to meet. Bullying? No more than any other kid and very little on the parent's sex life front.
