Hi Derek, Wibble will be along shortly I'm sure - he's a very famous Westfield man I don't know of any activity here in France, Westfields here are a rarity! Not sure they can be re-reg here and if so prob quite a job to do. Fli n I used to run the Hants and Wilts WSCC many moons ago.

what a shame i remember paul and chriss smith when they first started up in rented units in netherton before they bothed moved i used to work for paul at bromsgrove about 20 years ago westfield was very busy back then with new models they had just started production of the v8 model before i left they would not let me loose in it though i was a bit mad back then we used to go to the lotus sprints when we would all compete that was good fun they moved on to hill climbs as i was leaving them to live in devon have you heard of a stimulater i think that was its name it was made by a bloke in his garage it was just like a lotus 7 but bigger fitted with a rover v8 he made about 3 v8 ones and a few smaller engined ones

Yep I remember those days Chris named Westfield after the name of the house he was living in at the time - he still lives in Kinver there are a few V8's about now although its another car that the new owners have stopped producing mate of mine has one great rumble and easy to drive altho I prefer a a small revvy engine think its better suited. Stimulator rings a distant bell the UK kit car industry is dieing too much legislation

hi i know what you mean about engines when we used to got to the lotus sprint there was a guy with a 7 with rover v8 twin turbo it was useless it would go of the line then disappear into a cloud of smoke as the turbos cut in uncontrollable i built a moggie 1000 with a rover v8 that was fun and a honda tn7 pick up with mid engine v6 so you hill climb a 7 then is it ok over here

i think you could have some fun over here just watch out for french drivers, do you remember the vindicator it was made by a naibour of mine in halesowen it was loosely based on a 7 it was horrendous he started on a mini based 3 wheeler but gave up as the back end was to light and went on to four wheels i think he started production up on the by pass towards kidderminster
