I’m watching the rise of the BNP with some interest, the two MEP’s/ representatives from the party seem to have sent shock waves across the other three main parties.
A million people voted for them at that election, how many are going to vote for them at the forthcoming general election, and why?

Looking forward to seeing the replies...... I feel they are in similar vain to Breizh Atao and similar although, of course, much more highly funded.

A million people are not actually that much in the whole scheme of things. They are just hot air. Why do people vote for them. Cos they are ignorant. Stated in the nicest of tones.

I think it's because people see the breakdown of law and order, family values, and are looking for scapegoats, enter the ethnic minorities.

Agree with most of what you say although I might say that people see what appears to be a breakdown in law and order. It always has been so. Was worse a few centuries ago. BNP will be possible in times of bad ecconomy and fewer jobs. T'was the same in Spitlers time.
