As usual, in december, the post lady left us our annual calendar . Today, for the first time, i needed a calendar so dug it out of the drawer.
It's full of diary pages, recipes, things to do with kids and, I was surpised to see, tips for French people if they visit foreign lands.
I was particularly grateful for their hints for visiting the UK, so I thought i would share in case you ever visit there.
Not sure the photo will show up so have typed it out with rough translation. Attachment Deleted The English have many practicing the 'pub crawling.' They first pay a visit to the first pub, then a second different pub, and so on.
Tea is served in a mug or a porcelain cup (English). You never dip your toast in your tea, and should spread jam with a knife, not a spoon.
Very often in a restaurant or pub it is you who decides the place you wish to be seated.
You never squeezes the hand of the English, except when seen for the first time.
As we take the kiss, do not talk.
However, an unknown can call you darling, honey or even love, no problem.
The cheese is usually taken at the end of the meal, after the desert .......
In many English cities, not a square centimetre seems to escape the vigilance of the cameras. The CCTV is ubiquitous even in the bus.
