Morning Troll,
At about 3am this morning I suddenly had inspiration about why you might not get bonks on the chat box!
On my pewters the same bonks occur as a default when I press a wrong button, so they are set up somewhere in the pewter.
My guess is that the particular setting isn't switched on in yours.
I'll try to locate said bonk setting on my pewters and let you know where tiz, otherwise I'm hoping that Lib or Bottomburp will know already.
