Hello
Just got back from a really big & good market at Ploemeur (near Lorient), we are in north west 56 and it took us about 35/40 mins to get there, well worth a visit. Not sure if they have a market every Sunday but you can check it out. Also nice little bars dotted around the centre to stop and have a coffee or something stronger if the mood takes you.
Enjoy.

Hi Noodle - for 6 or 8 weeks in the summer every friday evening there is Mur de Bretagne night market.
It kicks off about 6 ish and lasts 2 or 3 hours.
We are not that close but try to go most fridays as it is a bit different. The market is centred around the square and the church. The church is used - believe it or not - for abseiling on those evening and it is quite entertaining to watch complete novices scalind down the spire. In the square there is live music - This can vary from very traditional Breton, Irish, etc etc. People gather around on the steps and local bars (a brilliant pizzeria) and people get up and dance.
Having lived here for quite a few years this place makes me actually feel I am 'abroad'
I'm not sure when the first one is but I thing the start of July - the last one always finishes at the top of town with a big dance/disco and a roast (sorry I know youre veggie, but it might interst others)
On another theme - there is a small maket on sunday morning at Bon Repos along the canalside - near Guarec. Its not a great market per se, but has a nice atmosphere - lots of people go there just to meet up at one of a couple bars, take a wander along the canal, or visit the Abbaye of 'Bon repos' which is in a beautiful setting.
