I have tonnes of spuds that were pink and fluffy inside when cooked, lovely! Having dug some up and put in a box to store they are going hard when boiled now, can any body give me any better ideas for storage please? Someone said they could be stored as frozen chips but i don't know how! Thanks guys

Ooooooooooooooo hard tatts! Never come across that hahaha
Also never heard of a tatt being pink inside lol
Ok, pink on the outside tatts do make great chips. Wot I dun in the past is to boil them then fry just very very very lightly, cool and freeze just like that.
Nothing like home produce - you know where it came from and what went on it!
Bonne chance ma petite coucou x

Thanks Ali
I have done 3 big batches of oven roasted chips so in theory all I need to do is put a portion in the oven and reheat and crisp up. I've also done a batch of mash and frozen that which seems to have worked really well! The tatties are strange, deep purple skins and then streaks of pink inside, even the mash is pink! No idea what they are I just picked up a bag in super U and stuck them in! Once you've achieved the growing bit it seems a shame not to store as much as possible, you never know we may be having pink mash with Xmas dinner!!!

]We stored all our spuds on racks buried in lots of straw, it's worked well so far, should keep till well after xmas if you check on them and remove the dodgy ones. Never seen the need to freeze chips as they take up so much room in my little freezer, are a bit of a fag to do and store just as well in a cool, dark frost free shed.....but make sure there is no access for rodents Not tried to purple skinned ones before, Caesar are the best if you can get them but Mona lisa and Bintje all nice, Charlottes if you prefer new potatoes.
