I bought my 3 tomato plants this year as normal, re-potted them and watched them grow into nice healthy plants then the little yellow flowers and then..........................................nothing!
No sign of any tomatoes forming. I haven't done anything different this year. Any ideas? My other veg are doing well this year.

Seems to be a distinct lack of bees this year.

Think they're all living in our walls.

I have some green tomatoes - first time ever we've got half way through July without red ones! Everything is late here. I think Ali and Panj may be right about lack of bees/not pollinated for your toms, John

I did wonder about pollination but there are plenty of bees on my roses and wysteria. Just seems odd that none of the tomato flowers are being pollinated??? ..................... Strange

Any signs of martoes yet? We've got lots now - proper delicious tomato coloured with a basil plant at the base of each tom plant. My tomatoes never seem to go crimson like the ones we buy in the supermarket! I ate 4 for my lunch - was that greedy?

Any signs of martoes yet? I have just carried out a search and yessssssssssssssss. I have one tomato forming, it is about the size of a pea! It is very strange, the plants seem healthy, plenty of flowers and there is a rose bush a few feet away with bees buzzing around... perhaps it is the first of many but I won't hold my breath.
