Since being in France I've not really got to grips with which tatties are earlies, mids or laters etc and which ones do what best for what, how long they keep for etc etc etc In the Point Vert pub the other week there was a page which I've pulled out and saved, it explained all to me - whooppeeeeeee!! I've saved it as a pdf and here's a link: www.brittany-france.com/britwiimages/tatties.pdfHopefully it'll be legible and printable Think am going for Desiree and Bintje this year. Have grown charlottes before and found them brill, also did Mona Lisa last year and they were good too. Hope this helps.

Thanks Ali, you're a star! I've never got to grips with which are which either!
I've gone for Charlotte, Bintje & Rattes this year, all currently chitting away although on GQT this week Bob Flowerdew was saying you don't need to chit maincrop spuds. To chit or not to chit that is the question! lol!

I was given some King Edward seed potatoes from an old boy last year, and he also said main crops don't need chitting. Cheers for the guide Ali, it is a bit bewildering trying to chose. But then again, I'm easily bewildered.
