Here's one I love:
5 x med sized tomatoes whole 2 x pack bacon 5 x eggs 1 x lettuce 5 x fresh warm baguettes Butter
Slice tomato, shred lettuce, cut bags in 1/2's. Fry bacon, tomato and eggs. Place all into buttered baguette with shredded lettuce on top.
Chuck away the pasta.

Dear kattie person, have your children ever known hunger? Until they do they'll be faddy eaters. When they do, they'll eat everthing that's put in front of them... It works with dogs every time!
Moral: Starve your children! It's the route to happiness!

Ok, forget the pots and rice, stick with the pasta..
Fry up the rest and make a chunky sauce with it. Turn into cooked pasta and add grated cheese. There's something for everyone in that...
ps: I am liking your use of cellar. Wait until the neighbours go on holiday then revert to Plan A......
