After leaves turning yellow and falling off one of my birch trees, my primroses and a broom have just started to come into flower. Really strange year. Also, our walnut tree which usually has a large crop does not have a single walnut this year.

Everything seems to have gone to pot this year .... We put it down to the extremely cold (for this area) winter, but the whole of France seems to have suffered one way or another. We don't have a simgle plum on our trees, yet a neighbour's tree is laiden with them! We have wonderful crop of tomatoes, but many people are reporting that their's have produced little or nothing.
Very strange indeed!

We can't see any walnuts on our tree either (we also normally get a good crop) but every now and then one falls from high above - so there must be a few up there - unless they have all dropped off - all four of them!

Plenty of walnuts here. Some years it's just like that, if we all had great crops of everything every year it would be too much like hard work with all the harvesting!
