Went to our local SuperU the other day and was delighted to see that they have a whole new section devoted to 'Bio' foods.
Now I'm not a veggie or a Bio buyer generally but what really took my eye was that they have grains and seeds, eg sunflower (without husks on), corgette seeds, brans etc in self service dispensers 'in-bulk' and the prices aren't bad either.
Bought some and making bread with some of it added in today.
Not sure if this is happening in all SuperU's - its brill !

I wonder if the self service containers (en vrac) are the same as the ones in the Biomarche in Carhaix? They frighten the life out of me tipping them into a brown paper bag as the beans or whatever rush out at an alarming speed

I've always been able to find all the grainy things EXCEPT sunflower seeds, which I've bought in bulk in England. Wonder what the price is like though in comparison as they are very cheap in Tesco.
Never seen self service dispensers before for bio stuff, will look out for them but ours at St Aubin d'Aubigny is of medium size (not the like the Hyper in Combourg).

They sound the same/similar to the ones in Biomarche LK, yes, tip into a brown paper bag The 'huskless' sunflower seeds are 4,10 a kilo which I thought wasn't too bad considering somebody has had to sit and peel each one, one by one. Went to a SuperU in Teinteiniac (spl?) yesterday, its a huge U there but no sign of the new range Bio in that one.
