Just spent 1/2 an hour sat here with the camera manual (not read it in 3 years!)
Well worth doing, have learned a bit (for now coz I'll forget it later) and reset an operation which has improved the colouring of the photos !!

I haven't read the Canon manual at all cos it's in every language except English, and the one in English is online somewhere and I can't be ***ed to look! I'll read it in winter. Did get a tip to change colour from standard setting to authentic though, which may or may not have helped with bright colours like red, which apparently are notoriously difficult in digital photography. I find yellow a nightmare - dandelions are fine but shiny flowers like buttercups and celandine just won't photograph properly.
