Just took a stroll around the 2 apple trees and 2 pears - hardly a thing on them this year. Even the ancient cherry tree is looking bare.
Plum tree is laden though and thats for the first time (she's only a few years old)
Is it the same where you are?

Plums are not too bad but less on them than some years.

at Easter mine certainly had a lot less blossom than usual and was not as early as previous - mind you mine seem to have a two year cycle for a bumper crop ?? and last years was a huge crop

Haven't really looked in the orchard but tons of cherries and peaches in the garden - were plenty of plums too last time I thought of looking, but often they drop off later (before they get big ) I can't rely on the plums, pears or peaches as they succumb to disease so easily (usually brown rot) so that's why I have so much soft fruit as it produces without fail year after year. Mind you I'm gonna have a hell of a lot of blackberries, and that's just off the first two more established plants - never mind there are 3 more that were dumped on me by someone who I won't name (but who wears PINK SLIPPERS).

Don't know what was going on with my posts yesterday ... the one above is cut short and some haven't been printed at all!
Anyway, the one above was supposed to go on to say that the only tree with any fruit on it was the cherry tree, but only a very few. No apples, pears, plums or peaches at all!
