We have been weeding and have close to 1/2 tonne of weeds in the trailer for dechetterizing.
However, a favorite piece of grass was rotavated, raked and seeded and yesterday was the big day for its first cut.
My son selected the Mountfield electric mower to save any squishing that the tractor may or maynot have done and cut said lawn.
Result? a picture of smooth green velvet.
Today? Loads of blerdy daisies smiling at the sun!
Damned sure these blighters communicate when they hear the mower, with a "quick lads, DUCK for the day!"
Anyone else experienced the same?

It wasn't until we had been here several years that I realised that something was missing from my weedy scruffy lawn - daisies! Soon after my wish came true and a tiny patch appeared in one place close to the hedge. It is not allowed to be mown on pain of death! (Well the Terminator is actually the one who spotted it and is the softee who won't mow it...... ;D) I'm really envious of daisy lawns but have to content myself with all the blue and yellow flowers in mine instead. Like Ali I have fond memories of making daisy chains and they are just evocative of childhood.
