I bought a tin coz i once saw a nigella desert using them, i can't find the recipe and now I don't know what to do with them' any one any ideas please?

its full of cream etc makes a loaf shape desert very like ice cream

oooohh thanks, they all sound lovely, however i'm going to be really fickle and give MM s stuffing a go

It's not sweet puree though is it Simson You could use those vacuum packet cooked chestnuts although I warn you they taste disgusting so I only use proper ones that I've collected, cooked and painstakingly peeled (a nightmare). Was away in October during the season when they drop from the trees but I have one little tub left from last year.

not sweet MM ! I've just made my own concoction with it and it's lovely tin of marron purree 1 garlic, 1onion, olive oil, breadcrumbs, tyme, seasonong, cranberrys in butter with a little sugar, one egg, half an apple grated half a bag of unsalted mixed nuts chopped Mixed and rolled into balls ready to roast. This year i WILL have stuffing

Sounds good! I'm doing mine today. I like to add some sesame seeds which look good on the ones which are rolled up into balls -mind you I will need a lot to stuff up inside the turkey!
