Do you know what? I was about to suggest Quince Quince Jelly is lovely, make just like any other fruit jelly. Great with cheese n things.

It's Japonica innit, but you've already discovered that. Not real Quince as in the tree fruit, but Japanese Quince, a spiky messy early flowering shrub which sometimes has fruit at the end of the season, and look like you have lots of it! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chaenomeles
