Ok if you liked them cooked that way, try this;
Open as before but pour into each oyster a teaspoonful of melted butter, a teaspoonful of runny cream, sprinkle generously with grated parmesan cheese and pop under the grill till the cheese goes golden brown - fantastic.
Try a similar thing if you have big mussels, open up and put a dollop of green pesto - again sprinkle with cheese and grill as above. Works best with the NZ green lipped mussels which you can buy frozen.

That sounds delish Meldrew and I never thought I'd say that about oysters!!! Will definately do that one
