This has been bugging me for some time........
Now I do love Lidl, love going there coz they have thingys on promo n stuff and fli is with me (rare) the fli is occupied whilst I get on with the real shopping.
BUT
I have always hated (and I do mean that word coz it is strong) the fact that I see cooked chicken in the chiller right next to raw chicken.
Now how come a supermarket can do that?
It isn't just one Lidl, it is 3 local ones, they all do the same.
I'm sure its not right to put raw with cooked - am I going senile?

We have a new Lidl store but will have to stop shoping there, they seem to have a problem with static electricity, when we take something metallic from a shelf we get a shock, it has been the same since it opened about six months ago.

Cos there is no elf and safety in France? I'm annoyed cos I can't get the bags of mince anymore, just cos they were made by the same company wot made the dodgy burgers. Surely that scare is over by now?

From my son who works every holiday for Lidl - the company that made the dodgy burgers not only for Lidl but for all the big suprmarkets under their names has been dropped by the company for some weeks now and I believe they have gone into liquidation judiciare. It was only those burgers and only those particular box lots, nothing else and no other products. You would not believe the people he has had come to the till and ask if everything is infected including hard goods. They now have a new supplier I believe and it has done a lot of damage to the company reputation-wise as well and I believe legal action is underway.

Shame about the mince and I feel sorry for the company (not Lidl, the mince company). Thanks for the info Hellfire.

I'll tell him your fears but they are all governed by a fixed recommendation from head office about what goes where. Have to say they do have the cooked cold chicken away from the raw poultry here. Have been pretty busy helping OH and spending time with our daughter who has been over until yesterday onholiday from her work.

I have noticed the same thing in Leader Price with cooked meats and raw meats next to each other.
