Yes I do luckily have some partial shade in veg patch from a few overhanging trees so that's where the lettuce gets put - still goes to seed though very quickly in mid summer but I always grow tons of it so there's usually something for us, rest for the chooks.

Yes, can't think of any plant that wants the full glare of the sun all day, except, praps, cactus. With Autumn coming maybe I'll plant a hedge along one side of the potager so that everything gets some protection next season ......

Hope you're not thinking of planting a hedge anywhere near my potager. It'll rob the ground of water.
I've got plans to put an artificial windbreak/shade run in over winter either using 50% shade netting or hazel rods closely woven. That's plenty of work for you to do Oddsox, instead of running around 'chasing skirt'. So no, you're not 'open to offers', you're too busy.
