I have finally managed to find the cherry clafouti recipe that I use online as the site has changed over the years! www.belgourmet.be/fr/mesrecettes/recette_cerises_et_griottes/recette_Clafoutis_aux_cerises_Evelyne.phpIt says for black cherries but we have the yellow/pink ones and this recipe is great for anything from cherries to plums to pears. I don't put the extra butter on top as I don't find it necessary; neither do I use vanilla sugar - I dust with icing sugar when it comes out of the oven. Bon appetit! (We are having this tonight as we've finally finished the cheesecake and I need that bowl!)

Thanks for the recipe. It is different to mine, i will try it when my sour cherries are ripe. Using SOUR cherries makes a big difference in taste. A bit of 'je ne sais quoi'!
Have you got any recipes with black currents? I need to use my last year's black currents!! They are in my freezer.. I am already picking the fresh ones!
Thanks

Ice cream? Sorry you never had any! It uses 500g each time or you can use the base mix as a thick sauce to spread on cheesecake. I will copy the recipe from my ice cream book later. Oh and here's what I picked yesterday, which I need to do something with today! That's only the start with the blackcurrants.
