Funny isn't it, why is rhubarb so hard to type - I used to think it was just me typing rhubard but everyone else does it too! I am not ahead re. frosts and things. Won't plant things out before they are supposed to go out. I have just sown some courgette and cuc seeds yesterday. I discovered that the chitting things works for any kind of seed big enough to handle. Had sown 12 orange cosmos into individual pots in cold frame and only one germinated. Put a load on damp kitchen paper and next day several had started to sprout - scrabbled little hole in compost in the empty pot and planted them, and hey voila two days later 4 of 5 are already up!!!!!! So have put my old saved lab lab seeds in to chit the same way - don't know if the seed is viable or not. Sweetcorn was done 2 days ago.

No I need all me weeds for me compost! And are you giving away cut rhub or plants? My plants are rubbish - they were here when we bought the place but the stems are green and have never recovered from being forced 4 years ago and always just want to flower all the time. The nice red stemmed one I bought now has orangey leaves and looks very sad. Any ideas? It's planted on top of a duck although as she died 4 years ago she may not be giving out any nutrients any more (or do nutrients go upwards or just down? )
