I've had a Kenwood Chef for over 30 years, and I loved it! It's finally died , and I hav'n't a clue what to choose to replace it. Any recommendations folks? I used it mainly for bread, and cakes. I use a hand blender for soups, a knife for chopping, and various graters for..... grating! However, I've got Arthur Ritus in both hands, and bi-lateral carpel tunnel syndrome, so maybe its time to make life a bit easier. it mustbe easy to dismantle and clean, and idiot-proof to use I await your views and experiences

I can't look back since tasted the bread of 'C'. C uses a Panasonic SD-255 so we bought the same one from the UK. It doesn't replace the blender for all the rest of the stuff, our blender is about 10 yrs old (Moulinex) and also use an electric hand whisk mainly for cakes and English Double Cream (oops).
I would sincerely recommend the bread-maker. Happy to bring one over from UK, think cost about 70 squids but to us very well worth it.
I keep looking at the 'Kenwood Chefs' on the s/market shelves, but can't justify one with the 3 implements currently use.

I have a breadmaker in my loft and cannot recommend it at all. Much nicer stuff across the road at the bread shop! LOL...but I am lucky I do live in a village.
Back to the food processor, I don't want one with too many gadgets!

Why are you trying to re-invent the wheel? The Kenwood Chef is still probably the best mixer on the market. (I've emphasised mixer here, as a food mixer does just that, but a food processor chops, grates, blends, "whizzes" etc, in which case it's a Magimix for me!)
KitchenAid is tempting, but Kenwood is just that bit more robust & powerful.
(Just thought I'd come back to mention my brother telling me last month that his Kenwood Chef has just died a natural death. It was my mother's, and couldn't have been much less than 40 years old...)
