I know this has been raised before, but I'm getting SERIOUSLY sick of a printer that gives me something a printed document that if you get it wet it all smudges & runs What type of printer do I need to avoid this please, and can anyone recommend a cheap(ish) one or somewhere good to purchase. Thanks peeps

you need a laser printer, if it's just monochrome then get a 2nd hand HP laserjet office printer 'cos all the service parts are built into the cartidge and theycost peanuts on eBay.
if you want colour then again laser but look at the price of ALL the consumables (toners, drum and diffuser) and be prepared to look on the whole unit as being disposable.
Whatever laser you get it will work out cheaper per page than an ink jet.
When I had a propper job we used S/H HP B&Ws and cheapest colour lasers and chucked them out when the drum needed replacing (which was normally cheaper than replacing the drum)
