Internet Explorer could not connect to www.google.co.ukTry reloading: www.google.co.ukAdditional suggestions: •Access a cached copy of www.google.co.uk•Search on Google: I have tried everything. Getting desperate cos I really need the internet at the moment. Anyone any ideas??

download firefox cc, it works better than internet explorer but first try re-starting your computer. Probably no help but thought it might be.

If you CAN get on this forum then you ARE on the internet. If your browser is set to go to google.co.uk when opened (or when you open a new tab) and for some reason you cannot access google.co.uk.... try another one. Let it open (and fail) and then change the address in the bar at the top to some of these below: www.google.com/www.bing.com/search.yahoo.com/Does that get you anywhere? BB

Tried first one that went to a diagnosis thing then couldn't do it and suggested I go to Network something or other or administrative service.

Have you tried thumping it? If that don’t work, get a hammer, don’t hit it with the hammer, just show it that you have one for now.

There is a box that comes saying that some startup programs are blocked. Could this be part of the problem?
