God, in His Infinite Wisdom (oops, wrong thread, but I'll continue) has decided that foot-long slugs are a Good Thing....
Clever, experienced, mature and oh-so accepting of all things though I may be, I just can't figure out why He created foot-long slugs....
Lots of little slugs can do the job of a few foot-long ones - viz, munch down to the soil my transplants, so why create mega slugs which make my arm ache picking them up and hurling a long, long way away???
Is it because the extra weight makes them easy to hurl a long, long way away, whereas the naughty little slugs are hard even to see, let alone hurl a long, long way away? I think that it is.

Perhaps foot long slugs are to make a good filling for baguettes.

If, littlemouse, you are incinerating by your remark that the French use foot-long slugs as a filling for their baguettes, and that's the reason why God created foot-long slugs, I declare that your remark is a vicious slur, directed towards not only the French, but also towards God's Infinite Wisdom...
Just because the French eat snails (a near cousin to the slug), and frog's legs, (the stupidest nutritional idea ever thought up) does not mean that they value the slime of a mega slug in their baguettes....
Your remark does nothing to break down the prejudice that we all feel towards the French....

"Prejudice we all feel towards the french" I assume you are speaking for yourself in between bites of slug and lettuce baguettes.

I'm not misquoting at all, unless not underling all is counted as misquoting.Returning to the snack in hand. Would the baguette be better replaced by a softer harrys sliced loaf so as to render the sandwich less chewy.

I haven't the foggiest idea of what you're talking about, littlemouse, but in some perverse way feel that your post is massive, and from which everyone on here can learn...
ps: This thread is degenerating upgrading into something wonky....
pps: You're quite right, you did include 'all' in your quotation, I speed-read your reply, and made an error, because I was in a blazing hurry to watch some utter sh*te on telly. In this respect I am no different to everyone else on this forum. In other respects I choose to regard myself as quite different....
