Hello fellow ex-pat/French gardeners! I have recently become the Jardins Ouverts for the Calvados area and was wondering if any of you have gardens that you would be prepared to open once a year to the public for charitable causes? Gardening is hard work (I know....I had a hands-on gardening business for 9 years in the UK) but it is very rewarding, so why not show off your labours of love to people who will appreciate them, and perhaps, bring some new ideas (and maybe if you're lucky, plants!) I find these informal get togethers very useful, and fun! As the co-ordinator I would be on hand to help and advise, especially on the day, if needed. Your garden doesn't have to be Wisley or Monet's, the main criteria is that people can spend at least 30 minutes on site with the option of a cuppa if you feel able to offer one. Perhaps you and a neighbour could open both your gardens if they're small? If you would like to get involved - or could recommend someone with a lovely garden that might - but are not sure your garden would fit the bill, please get in touch and I could pop over to see your garden and have a chat about what's involved. Feel free to call me on 0231 4888 19 after 15.00 hrs or email selenaLC@outlook.com Our website is www.opengardens.eu I hope to hear from you soon! Cordialement Selena Attachments:
