At a meeting with 2 Frenchies yesterday eve, long conversation, at a certain point in time I'd switched off for a minute or two (I'm sure you know what I mean) then a question was asked ............ and they both looked at me for an answer - bugga - what was the subject?
You ever been in that sort of situ? Aggggggg

Yes, been there...just when you think your knowing gestures have them fooled, they demand a reply.......... Yep, thats the one. Sooooooooooooooo embarrassing! Everyone must wonder exactly how much of the conversation one understood in the first place. I do the same with French TV .......... I watch for about 20 mins then just stare at it without listening anymore for a while, then get asked what I thought about the last 5 mins - grrrrr - why not ask within the first 20 mins   |

The worst thing is when you are the only one of several who has any French, and they all leave it up to you....Blardy hard work, you get home knackered. |
