Hope that 'Dunkirk' doesn't just receive the Hollywood gloss, but says something penetrating like 'Saving Private Ryan' did...
Talking of penetrating, when an American kid receives a bullet through his helmet, into his brain, while wading ashore, let's be reminded that having the latest 'phone is the least of our worries...
And as to a mother, having lost one of her sons, to be told she's lost another, and to see her collapse onto the floor with the weight of her grief, nothing, nothing could say more to me than that, and I hope that Dunkirk captures it....

Well, I sincerely hope it doesn't feature American troops, as it's about the evacuation of British Troops from France. However, Saving Private Ryan is indeed a moving and well directed, emotional movie. Whether Dunkirk captures the same 'spirit' of grief and courage, I'll have more of an idea about next week.

No American Troops Sonnet, and no Hollywood gloss, that is all I am saying, I think you will enjoy it.

No, the depiction of American troops in action was not the point I was making about events at this time in history.
Duh! Try and keep up...
