Forgotten where you posted your comments about becoming a French National/e Bis ! Yikes.
I'm about to start to look at how.
How have you got on and where does one start?

Ali - so far we have been doing stuff like finding out how we stand with pensions OH has a lecturers pension and has always had no choice but to pay tax in UK (police do too) We have been trying to find out if we can opt out of UK tax if we become nationals of France - seems we can - and also for anyone getting pensions they tell us it will continue to be index linked. - This all not much good to a spring chicken like you Ali On the actual nationality front you there seems to be 4 options -1 by marriage to a French person 2 by having a French ancestor (neither any good to us) French citizenship or full French nationality - there seems little difference between the last 2 except for voting rights - I think we both (you,i assume, and us) qualify for this. My worry is that my French is erratic - but I am told that there is no test if you are 60 - dunno if its true. www.angloinfo.com/brittany/how-to/page/brittany-moving-residency-french-citizenshipThese are the forms you need to print off and fill in www.formulaires.modernisation.gouv.fr/gf/cerfa_12753.dowill update you when I get more info - perhaps you can do the same if you find out anything
