Ah, one now needs to have a mandate to express an opinion or to pursue a course of action. Does this now stop me or you having a rant? Where do I now apply for a mandate? I did think that an MEP had to be elected, so someone has approved his right to a salary. I also think that any person may pursue their beliefs with freedom of speech within reason, in England. I may not support or agree with Farage but he seems to have attracted enough interest for the Press and Public to give him a platform.
PS Is there still censorship in your adopted country, LM, similar to the restrictions that Journalists, broadcasters, and students suffered, and which I ranted and demoed on about in the late sixties.

osbourne crawls out from under his stone this morning and spouts more bullsh*t. Here is someone who has not made one accurate forecast during the six years he has been screwing up the British economy. The market reacts to him by a further fall in share prices and another 3 cents off the £/€
Why would anyone want to listen to anything senior British politicians have to say now? They have all been implicated in the biggest campaign of lies and misinformation in living memory.
The only thing I want to hear from any UK politician will contain two small words, "I resign" but that would be the decent thing to do, so I don't expect to hear it.

I have been giving some thought to this appauling mess the UK is in. I don't think another referendum is democratically acceptable. BUT article 50 which sets the departure of the UK from Europe in motion has to be triggered by an elected prime minister and cameron has already said he won't be doing it. What if each of the two main political parties put up a trusted politician(and that is where this idea is likely to fail at the first fence)one to lead a tory party with a mandate to trigger article 50 and one to lead a labour party who will not trigger article 50 thereby effectively stopping the UK's exit from the EU. Then call a general election. I am not suggesting this because I want a labour party back in power but because this disaster was created on the tory's watch, if it carries on they should be held responsible for sorting it out. Just a thought! I think a lot of people would think differently now the lies have mostly stopped and the reality is sinking in.

Agree it is a leap into the unknown, but makes for interesting watching. I do note, with some degree of amusement, that it appears that insults may be freely thrown around to one and all but ........ oh dear if a forum member sees some slight, real or imagined, then its a different matter. presumably amused at your own post then
