Hi folks - anyone out there with 10 minutes to spare.
I am currently planning a trip - this involves a number of flights which I have priced using website fare compare.
I have looked at a number of flights and taken them right through to the "book now" stage and they all come up with the same buying price as the one which were posted.
That is all except a flight on 12th jan 2017 from Paris - Singapore.- (it is the one leaving Paris at 5pm, arriving Singaore at 8.45 next day (13th) and it is with Qatar airlines. The farecompare price is €242 per person and I want 2 tickets - ie a total of €484
This is my first flight and I have just tried to book it for real. But...what happens is this ...I press "book it" - - I get a new, briefly displayed, page confirming 2 tickets €484, but then it goes to Qatar page where they are demanding €965.30 - (double all but a few cents)
So what am I doing wrong - I have double checked with most of the other flights I want and the system shows buying at the original proffered price - it just seems to be Qatar where the price differs - At first I thought it was because they were using a different currency but this doesn't seem to be the case....so, is it just me being a numpty?

Thanks both for your time.
Yes its very strange - I have been looking through the fare compare site - every fare I have looked at so far can be booked at the fare originally offered , however, where Qatar airlines are the carrier - then the price is almost double ..... at first I thought it was just me , but it seems not

yes weird isn't it - we have spent the whole evening trolling the net looking for alternatives - both airlines and routes, but we are now resigned to sticking with a Singapore flight and paying €403 euros with Opodo - a 16 hour flight (it is possible to get one for €376 but is a 22hr flight) - thanks again for your time will probably book tomorrow - mind too boggled right now.

Using Skyscanner there's a Singapore Airlines flight leaving CDG direct to Singapore for €645pp. Maybe you're a tad early to try and book flights for next year, hence the price fluctuation. I.E. the Qatar Airline site may only show a non discounted ticket this far in advance.

thanks folks - 4 different flights (out of 12) all booked now - eventually got the Singapore one for €403 pp
The trip is very complicated so need to book far in advance to ensure we get to do what we want.
