Right on,makes one want to go to A.I. and discuss where one can buy Avon products, what,! Oooo yes AI, I'm still waiting for the definitive answer as to whether I can drive a UK reg'd car with no MOT or insurance for more than 30 years before re-registering in France.

Blimey! I should have left it in! Just trying to point out that you are as narrow minded etc as those you are complaining about. Thought better of it as realising is like banging ones head against a brick wall and any self analysis prob not possible anyway. ( and, hell, on a free thinking forum why the hell should anyone have to justify their views anyway?)

It is entertaining, for me, to watch the postings on threads like these. The reason that it is interesting is because a has never met b and therefore a doesn't understand b and b doesn't understand a.
If a had actually met b. and/or b actually met a, would there be a relationship of sorts, an understanding?

I think if a and b got together over a meal and a drink their would be some serious discussion, BUT, I don't think anybody would go away without a hug and a friendly peck on the cheek. Life's too short

All credit to AngloInfo tho !! Up until 2003 there were no forums and no net information on the subject of living in and moving to France as far as I remember until Ai (Bob) started the ball rolling. I am and always have been Alison35 on Ai. In the early days it was fabulous. Such a brilliant meeting place for ex-pats ; everybody knew each other. Though nowadays I post probably about once a year there if that. There was absolutely nothing ahead of that year to support ex-pats. When I was a lass 'we was' on our own When Ai started it was a forum only and it was total mayhem for a good few years, loadsa newcomers into France and it was great great fun exchanging info. Then came 2005/6 when things started to change on the forum, members started to get nasty, bored, cashless, desperate and lashing out. It became a war zone. Ai had to move with the changes, it is a different place now. * Remind self to go take a look there again
