Strangely, I find myself largely in agreement.
Dangerous - absolutely....
Misguided - By Western standards, certainly....and misguided into thinking they can influence/recruit young Muslim women and children.
Loonies - Anything but...they have a clear objective. It may not fit into your definition of sanity but I don't think you can call them mad.
However, what is clear is that they (and the radical clerics) are breaking UK law, by promoting terrorism and influencing people to become terrorists. If they wish to stay in the UK, the law of that country must take precedence. If they don't agree then they should be either arrested or deported or probably both. Similarly, in cases where whole families leave to join Isis they are not allowed back into the UK.
They are promoting hate, so as to drive a wedge between moderate law abiding UK Muslims and the rest of the UK population. They actually want to make the UK population hate Muslims in general. In doing so it makes it much easier to recruit disaffected Muslims to their cause. UK security forces should clamp down on them now, before if gets worse.

I had thought of suggesting that if a member of a family joins these terrorists then the whole family should be deported to where their ethnic stock came from. Should tighten up their thinking after one or two families are repatriated.

Since when has it been right - in our society - for the state to punish a family member for another's crime?

Don't think that would be admissable under law or morally defensible. If a family member should become radicalised (brainwashed) I don't think you can punish their parents and siblings. There's a distinct lack of parental supervision for sure but you should also remember that in some cases you might be dealing with third and fourth generation descendants of immigrants. Are you going to repatriate grandparents and great grandparents?
