French President has just declared a state of emergency in France and he has ordered the French borders to be closed with the French military taking over all security in France

The politicians of Europe should take a bow. By their total and continuing failure to do anything to stem or control the mass migration into Europe from where isis is a prevelent force they have provided the perfect vehicle for them to freely move their sick murderous supporters right across the region. No I am not saying all refugees are terrorists but the point is that undoubtedly a small percentage are and because of the huge numbers moving across the boarders, it is not possible to carry out any meaningful checks, As we can see it only takes a handful to cause this mass slaughter. I fear for the future.

Quick to point the finger again JohnP. Why not wait for the facts instead of running off at the keyboard

Quick to point the finger again JohnP. Why not wait for the facts instead of running off at the keyboard The facts: 120 innocent people dead, hundreds injured The attacks were carried out by terrorists First indications are the attacks were carried out by outside forces ie: not home grown terrorism. Who do you think are responsible LM?

First indications are the attacks were carried out by outside forces ie: not home grown terrorism. Whilst I think this thread should concentrate on both expressions of sympathy for the victims and their familes and our collective revulsion at this atrocity, have you got a link to where you read about these 'first indications'? A Sky News reporter has just said that it's too early to say where the terrorists originated.

You are of course absolutely right. I cannot express my utter revulsion for the sub-human scum that can carry out these sorts of terrorist attacks. With reference to the origin to these attacks, I have been watching a number of sources, BBC, ITV, and France 24. I have heard several references as to the source of these attacks being imported rather than internal, time will tell. It has not been proved yet who exactly is responsible and no one has claimed responsibility. I am expressing an opinion based on what I am hearing rather than reading and based on the kind of attack that has taken place.
Everything we are hearing at this early stage is based on opinions and conjecture based on the information of eye-witnesses and police sources.

I ask everyone to back off from in-fighting and quoting each other. This has been an horrific event for the whole world, most of who I'm sure would like to see an end to all these meaningless events. I say meaningless not to disparage the event but in a years time, like previous atrocities, it will have "faded" and been left behind as others occur. As a race we are not fit to be on this planet.
