Contrasting spirit of the women of America..............
Sharing the experience I had recently in the US with 2 contrasting feisty women
Woman by the Chase bank is accosting anyone who would listen, that this was the only bank in the US without a drive in cash dispenser, and it is a disgrace.. this is her 4x4 ...must be all of 4 yards to walk.
Woman in the car park.....we met her, literally, up a mountain in New Mexico- on her zimmer frame - at the Gila pueblo cave dwellings. It was a stiff 30 minute hike each way for the able bodied, up a steep rough path with rattlesnake warnings everywhere, but she really wanted to see the ...and she got there.

Friends of ours were visiting an aged relative in America and took her to a shopping mall. Most of the access was from the car park and they told me that the locals would get into their cars and drive 50 feet or so to the next shop entrance. A work colleague similarly told me that many of the American towns he stayed in didn't have pavements.
